Halloween Letter Hunt

October 28, 2021 by colin

Dear residents

Once again Aldourie PS is organising a Halloween Letter Hunt through the village of Dores on Sat 30th Oct. The plan again is that children would hunt for Halloween pictures and letters around the village anywhere between LochNess View and Strath Gardens, Dores. They will look for the letters in any order and then rearrange them to make a Halloween related word or phrase. Younger children will hunt for pictures and tick them off on a sheet. The letters/pictures can be hunted for in any order. The idea is that if residents, wish they can watch out for the children passing by all dressed up without children come into their homes.

If any Dores residents are interested in displaying a letter please phone Aldourie Primary or email Louise Robertson (HT) or Jennifer Fraser (Clerical).

Phone:  01463 751272 or  email Louise.robertson@highland.gov.uk  or  Jennifer.Fraser4@highland.gov.uk

All children are welcome to join in and to complete this activity but will need to collect their sheet from the car park at Dores, Church of Scotland between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Please remember to bring your own pencil /pen with you. It is anticipated that children will need one hour to complete the hunt and so all children should be finished between 7.30pm and 8.30pm approx.

Goody bags, will be issued at the start of the Letter Hunt along with their Letter Hunt sheet. If partaking in this outdoor activity parents/or a delegated person (eg older sibling) are responsible for escorting their children around the village if parents feel this is necessary due to the age of their child/ren.

Our thanks to the Dores Community Trust Fund for financially supporting this event.

Please wave to the participants and encourage them on their way. We do hope the weather is  much  kinder to us this year than last and that everyone enjoys their evening.

Kind regards

Louise
