Scottish Water Campaign
Dear all,
Some of you may already have seen or heard Scottish Water’s new customer engagement campaign, Nature Calls.
YOU CAN WATCH THE CAMPAIGN ADVERT HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hKJEMXeVtI
The impact of what we flush down our loos and slosh down sinks can last generations.
Many products we use and then flush contain plastic. They don’t biodegrade or disappear.
When they combine with other stuff that should be binned and not slopped down sinks, nasty blockages can form.
Then, extreme weather events linked to climate change mean sewers can’t cope with the deluge of water and spill into our communities, rivers and seas.
This is not just unpleasant for neighbours. It is harmful to the environment and the creatures who live in our natural world.
We’re asking everyone to help us protect nature, protect our communities and protect the planet – by binning the wipes.
It would mean a lot to us to have your support:
- Please click here to show your support and back a ban on wipes made with plastic: www.JoinTheWave.scot/ban
- It would mean a lot to us if you would share this link with your communities and on social media – #BanWipes #NatureCalls
Kind regards,
Gavin Steel

- Advance warning signs for Torbreck Lane works will be installed confirming passage for pedestrians and cyclists prior to works.
Holm Roundabout
- Works on Holm roundabout are being reviewed to provide the optimum solution to minimise impact to the road users and local residents. We shall provide a further update on the Holm roundabout under separate cover.
