Highland Council is supporting the occupants of properties with private water supplies which are running dry. These are permanent addresses with resident householders.
We have been notified that there are a couple of properties, in the Torness area, with such problems.
In addition to supplying bottled water, we are looking for any community facilities, on the public (Scottish Water) water supply, from where the householder could replenish containers.
Are you aware of any such locations in your Community Council area (eg Hall or local business with outside tap) who may be able to assist in this or providing laundry facilities, until the water supply resumes?
I am advised Torness is near the boundary of 3 Community Council areas so am contacting all 3. We would be grateful for any suggestions as to help that can be provided
